Skydance Paramount Plans to Remove Around 2,000 United States Roles – News

Paramount Skydance plans to begin large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, cutting nearly 2,000 American roles under a expense reduction strategy totaling $2bn under CEO David Ellison.

The layoffs come after the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized in August worth $8.4bn.

Additional international job cuts are expected, as the firm planning to announce complete information in its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.

Earlier reports had indicated the company aimed to eliminate between 2,000 and 3,000 positions by the beginning of next month.

By December 2024, the company had almost 18,600 full- and part-time employees and 3,500 temporary project employees.

The organization has not yet commented to a request for comment.
